Introduction to TCAM’s Online Training Series for Mentors and Mentoring Program Staff

The TCAM Online Training Series for Mentors and Mentoring Program Staff includes six online training modules for mentors, which are intended to be used in combination with in-person mentor training provided by mentoring programs, as well as two online modules for mentoring program staff about designing and delivering in-person mentor training. The content of the training series is informed by mentoring research and best practice, the expertise of the TCAM Leadership Team, and TCAM’s experience providing technical assistance to OJJDP mentoring grantees. Each module is designed to be completed in approximately 30 minutes, and individuals may opt to complete one or more of the six modules. The free package also includes two train-the-trainer modules to help you and your staff develop or improve upon your existing mentoring training. During the webinar, we will provide an overview of the Online Training Series, roll out an approach you can take to blend these eLearnings into your current training program, train on how to track and evaluate learning completed remotely by mentors, and present ideas for integrating the eLearnings into your mentor recruitment and fundraising plans.
