Applying Positive Youth Development to reduce risk behaviors and enhance academic success

These are slides from a webinar presentation done by the Safe and Supportive Schools Technical Assistance Center on the application of Positive Youth Development principals in the school environment.  Many of these concepts are easily applicable in the mentoring field as well.  The presenters, Peter C. Scales, Ph.D., Senior Research Fellow, Search Institute and Clay Roberts, M. S., Senior Trainer, Vision Training Associates, shared both research and practical examples of implementing the PYD model throughout our educational system.
