Christine Blaber
Christine Blaber is Deputy Center Director in EDC’s Center for School and Community Health Programs. At EDC, she has led a wide array of projects focusing on child and adolescent health, mental health, and juvenile justice issues. Since 2007, Chris has been Technical Monitor for EDC’s Mentoring System-Involved Youth project, including serving as Acting Project Director in 2008. Chris is also Director of Publications for EDC’s National Center for Mental Health Promotion and Youth Violence Prevention, where she oversees the development of print and Web-based materials on issues such as child and adolescent mental health and identifying and implementing evidence-based interventions. Additionally, since 1992, she has served as Project Director of EDC’s Teenage Health Teaching Modules, a comprehensive health curriculum for adolescents that addresses such topics as substance abuse, mental health, and violence prevention. Chris holds a Master’s of Education degree with a concentration in health education from Boston University. She is fluent in French and has a working knowledge of Spanish.
