Ivy Jones Turner
Ivy Jones Turner has worked with non-profit organizations focusing on youth development for over 15 years. Her non-profit background includes training and technical assistance, program evaluation, grant management, and organizational development. At EDC Ivy has served as project director for the Mentoring System-Involved Youth initiative of the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, directing technical assistance efforts for mentoring programs targeting youth in the juvenile justice and foster care systems. As part of EDC’s National Center for Mental Health Promotion and Youth Violence Prevention, Ivy supports school districts and community agencies in implementing evidence-based youth violence prevention programs. Ivy has a special interest in programs serving at-risk and high-risk youth, and has managed academic and mentoring programs for at-risk and juvenile justice involved youth. As former project coordinator with National TenPoint Leadership Foundation, Ivy supported and trained communities in developing faith-based collaborations with law enforcement and juvenile justice agencies, and developing juvenile reentry programs. Ivy is a certified conflict mediator and holds an MPA from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.
